In 1994, following his family’s immigration to the United States, Dr. Khavkin became the first foreign medical student to transfer into a prestigious University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He went on to complete a Neurosurgical Residency at the University of Chicago and a Fellowship in Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Khavkin has held esteemed positions in the medical field, including Director of Neurosurgical Spine Services at Northwestern University. There, he became known for his expertise in performing complex oncological spine surgeries and for mentoring neurosurgical residents and fellows.
For more than a decade, Dr. Khavkin has led a thriving multi-specialty practice in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, where his innovative techniques and compassionate care attracted patients from across the globe.
